His paintings go on show ‘1001 Images’ which starts in September in the Brewhouse Theatre Gallery in Taunton. TA1 1JL
In his colourful paintings, Sokal conveys another version of the famous 1001 exotic tales; tales of legends and adventure, distant communities, peace and serenity which he has encountered on his many trips abroad. Travelling for years, escaping the English winters, Moish found inspiration in numerous adventure trips to:
India
Africa
Havana, Venice
Australia
South America
Alongside all these, he shows paintings of his beloved English countryside where he lives with his family.
Also included is a selection of limited edition prints and last but not least, the vast collection of signed cards reflecting all the hundreds of images he painted during those many years, culminating with painting no. 1001 ‘Washing Done’.
